USA Funds Access to Education Scholarships will award up to $3 million nationwide in renewable scholarships to students with economic need. Up to 50 percent of the scholarships will be targeted to students who, in addition to demonstrating financial need, are members of an ethnic-minority group or are physically disabled. They will renew these scholarships until students complete their final degrees or until the total amount awarded each student reaches $6,000, whichever comes first, as long as the student remains continuously enrolled and maintains a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. The Association of School Business Officials has established a scholarship to assist those citizens of the State of Maryland and/or the District of Columbia who require financial assistance to secure a college education.
Eligibility:
* Have been residents of Maryland or the District of Columbia for at
least one year preceding the date of award
* Have been accepted for admission as a full-time student
* Have demonstrated a financial need
* Have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA

The American Chemical Society, provides scholarships for qualified applicants who want to enter the fields of chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering or other chemically related fields such as environmental science, materials science or toxicology.
To qualify, candidates must be:
* African American, Hispanic/Latino, or American Indian
* U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.
* Full-Time student at an accredited college, university, or community
college
* High academic achiever in chemistry or science (GPA of 3.0 or higher)
* Able to demonstrate evidence of financial need according to FAFSA

* High school senior, college freshman, sophomore or junior intending to
or already majoring in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering or
a chemically related science and planning a career in the chemical
sciences or chemical technology
